I don't know, I just feel like I've grown. HAgrasstypepuns Having photoshop now has really fueled that desire too. I updated a lot of her background as well. I've expanded on a lot of past events and I added a little to her family tree. Plus, I feel like she's kind of changed since I started RPing, and I wanted her app to reflect that.

Lively and hardworking, Annie believes that an active life is a happy life. She’s your girl for any kind of heavy lifting or physical labor. She’s a very good listener, but she can be just as talkative as well. While she is empathetic and easy-going to a point, she’s secretly a bundle of energy that is always up for an adventure. Most of the time it’s because she’s embroiled herself into someone else’s problems and she refuses to give up until it is resolved. She will usually put other’s wellbeing before hers, making her a reliable and loyal companion. On top of everything else, she’s very objective about the world around her and doesn’t give much thought to people’s thoughts or quirks.

This can easily backfire, however, because she can miss important cues. While she’s very perceptive of body language, she can’t understand sarcasm and metaphors. Her clueless nature can lead to a few inappropriate questions or blunt remark, though most of them are innocent in nature. Annie is also incredibly stubborn and reckless. She will pursue hopeless and dangerous endeavors regardless of her failures. Because of this, she gets hurt often and frequently overworks herself. Many of her family members believe it’s a miracle she’s still alive today and some feel this may not continue for long. On top of everything else, little social contact can leave Annie very emotional and depressed.

History:

Annie comes from a large and diverse family in Pastoria City, Sinnoh. She is the younger of two siblings, the older being her brother and a tepig (now an emboar) Christopher. Feisty as a child, Annie constantly challenged her older brother to brawls. Unfortunately, she was almost always bested due to her brother's type advantage and size. Despite constant defeat, Annie enjoyed their rivalry and found it a great way to burn all this excess energy she had. The latter, while enjoying their tussles, wasn't much acclimated to fighting, despite his father's (an infernape) hope that he would someday pursue boxing. Christopher didn't care much for such sports due to being teased for his weight. Annie, however, was quick to defend her brother. The two were practically inseparable.

And it was a good thing too, because these siblings were part of a large and competitive family. Very cloistered and unfriendly to outsiders, the Alabaster Family prided itself on its fighting type heritage and relished the heat of battle. Every member chose a certain sport to pursue, most of which involved direct combat with another. If you didn’t contribute to this rich tradition, however, you were disowned. Roshi, their father, often favored Christopher because of this and their shared typing, leaving the poor grass type Annie in the dust. Despite the fact Annie had more in common with his father, she turned to her wise and patient mother for guidance. She was the one who taught Annie to put others needs before her own, regardless of how you feel.

Christopher, meanwhile, discovered his talent for wrestling after he found that his weight was not only accepted there, but appreciated. Annie, though initially against the idea, supported her brother’s pursuit. She was the driving force behind convincing their father to let him leave home and compete. Meanwhile, Annie found her niche when a family reunion herald the arrival of her Uncle Indigo and his daughter, Estelle. While the latter shared her passion for high fantasy with Annie, Indigo took the newly evolved Grovyle under his wing and taught her how to fence. She loved it, and while the two hobbies didn’t completely take her mind off of missing her brother, they were a start to improving her life.

Still, Annie couldn't help but feel lonely without Christopher. On top of that, she became very anxious, even to the point of making her sick. Annie's predicament gave her father an idea. Since he was getting too old to take care of the farm, and with the first heir to the land away, Roshi let his daughter take care of the family pecha berry farm in his stead. To compensate for Christopher’s absence, Annie’s Aunt Fauna gave the Grovyle her pet Pidgey, Kiki. Kiki would accompany Annie out to the fields and fend off the pesky bug and poison types attracted to the pecha berries’ sweet flavor and aroma. But sometimes Kiki would miss a bug or two, and it ended up costing Annie dearly when a rogue Ariados attacked and bit her while she farmed.

Kiki was able to rescue Annie by pecking her to stay away and by retrieving her parents from the house. They took the 15 year old home and did as best as they could to nurse her back to health. Because the family was so deeply rooted in tradition, they were mistrusting of modern technology and relied on old medicines and techniques to treat their daughter. This meant a steady diet of pecha berries and a little whiskey here and there. Rubbing alcohol was used to sterilize the wound, but it only did so much and in the long run, she was improperly treated. This left Annie very weak for a time, forcing her to temporarily give up fencing and even farming. Kiki was there to keep her company, but as time passed, she grew older and frail and eventually passed on as well. The whole ordeal pushed Annie into her final evolution and made her realize that it was time for a change.

Annie was eager to start her own berry farm and wrote Christopher about her desires and exploits every week. Christopher, meanwhile, was excelling in the Sinnoh Sumo Wrestling Tournament. He was about to compete in the finals when he received her letter about moving away. When Annie got his reply, it contained words of encouragement as well as Christopher’s prize money from winning the championship. Overjoyed, Annie began looking overseas for a place to start her farm and convinced her parents to let her leave. After a little coaxing, Annie gained permission to leave and she used the money to purchase a plot of land on Affection Atoll in a place called Raccolto. While she has no idea what to expect, she is more than ready to start her new life on her new farm.

  Caught red handed in the theft and consumption of Annie's food, Duchess was a stray who broke into Annie's kitchen for a treat. Instead of chasing her out, however, Annie decided to keep her as a pet so she would have company on the farm. She soon found, however, that this Glameow expects the finest treatment and detests work (something Annie is determined to change). However, Duchess is always willing to do a little work if it means she'll get a treat.  She’s a bit two-faced towards Annie and does things either out of spite or to get attention. She also dislikes anything that isn’t a cat Pokémon and will cling to Annie out of fear or disgust. But no matter what, Duchess will stick around. Where else will she get all this free food?

I'm super excited about this one! And it's funny. I joined Deviant Crossing hoping to get some RP practice and to have something to hold me over while I waited for a Harvest Pokemoon opening.
And then the group announced an opening 3 or so days later.

So until then, get a good look at Annie and tell me what you think! Is she overdeveloped, underdeveloped? Or does she stand a chance?

EDIT! Wow! Not even a year, and Annie's really grown! And so have I, apparently ^^ So, I've decided to update her app to reflect that. She's changed quite a bit, and honestly, I'm so happy. This group is so much fun. I can't wait to see how Annie continue to grow! _{also I totally forgot her birthday was last month whoops maybe next year sweetie, I'll draw you something for that TvT}
